  3. Hi….
My baby is 5.5 months old. From last 2 days(first food) i am trying to give her mashed banana. But I noticed she is not accepting gracefully. What should i need to do

    • Mostly babies do not accept solid foods happily at first time…my 5 months old daughter started weeping badly when i gave her banana for first time…but despite her weeping i continued to give her banana along with carrying her in my lap and kissing her….after trial of 3 days…she happily takes banana now….so the point is that keep trying.. Experts say that keep giving solid food for one week and after one week your baby will be accustomized to that food…..so keep trying..!! Stay blessed!

  5. Hi sangeetha… I would want to know if i can start with ragi for my son he is currently in his 5th month now

    • Divya, a 5 month old baby is too small to start ragi. You can start with juices, vegetable purees and fruit purees to start with and proceeding to ragi at the end of 7th month if possible.

      • Hi sangeetha thanks a ton for ur advice, i have started with veg and fruit purees along with nestum rice as recommended by the doc. However from the past.one week he feels constipated and passes stools only alternate days. He is 5.5 months now and since my.milk supply was very less he has been primarily on lactogen. Could you please advice what foods can i give for him to feel better…
