Homemade almond powder and almond milk for toddlers and kids:

I started giving this almond milk for my toddler when he started asking for the regular tea we drink. The recipe almond powder and the almond milk will be liked by toddlers as I have added the favorite flavor of kids – chocolate in it.

Homemade almond powder step by step preparation method:

Blanch almonds for 3 minutes and drain by pouring normal cool water on it. Wipe or drain the excess water and peel almonds.

Roast the peeled almonds for 4 minutes to make it completely moisture free.

Once cooled well, powder all the ingredients in small batches for 25 sec precisely. This helps to get the correct texture and prevent release of oil from almonds.

Store in an air tight container.

To make the chocolate almond powder, add 1.5 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder to half a cup of the prepared powder. Store in an air tight container.

Please refer to the notes mentioned at the end of the post too.

  1. May I add a variation? instead of sugar try 2 dried turkish apricots. add 1 TBS of cashew or pistachios (shelled) and instead of traditional spices try 1/2 tsp of ceylon cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of vanilla powder. This will be better for the glycmic values and is quite delicious. If you have trouble with the almonds bunching you can use preground organic almond flour too.
