I received a Panda ultrasonic cool mist humidifier. The panda is very cute and has 3 main parts – a water tank, base and the mist lid in the shape of a panda face.

- Very cute in appearance
The design of panda humidifier is so cute that it adds to the beauty of the room in which it is placed. I have had guests asking me from where I got the funky looking doll in my house and the surprised look they had in their face when I told them it’s a humidifier.
- Easy assembling
The assembling of the humidifier is pretty easy. You just need to fill water in the tank and position the tank on the humidifier base. Keep the mist lid and switch on the humidifier. Mist starts emitting almost instantly.
You can control the quantity of mist with the help of control knobs in the humidifier base.
- Safe for kids
The crane cool mist ultrasonic humidifier is completely safe as the mist emitted is cool. If it were a hot steam humidifier, I would have to be extremely careful even with my child going towards the humidifier. Hot steam humidifiers can pose burn hazard for small babies and kids.
However parental monitoring is advisable when it comes to any machine.
- Higher efficiency
The crane ultrasonic humidifier produces a very good amount of humidity. The room gets moistened effectively with the cool mist.
- Effective for cold, cough, congestion, snoring and dry skin
I am happy to share that this humidifier does multi-tasking as well. By increasing air moisture, it not only relieves congested nose, dry throat, sinusitis, cold, cough etc but also reduces snoring and prevents dry skin. Thanks to the much needed hydration, I could see the difference in my skin, hair and my husband’s snoring levels too.
- Auto-off functionality
Another functionality of this humidifier I am in love with as a mother of a hyperactive child is its ‘auto off mode’. This humidifier switches off automatically if the water tank is empty.
- Prevents microbial growth
Since humidifiers are in contact with water 24*7, it has the greatest possibility of bacteria and mould formation. But thanks to the clean control antimicrobial material used in the base, growth of bacteria and mould is reduced up to 99.96%.
However it’s advisable to wash the water tank, base in white vinegar and water to sanitize every week.
- No noise humidifier
I loved this part when the panda humidifier does it job silently up to 24 hours. No buzzing sound at all!
- No requirement of filter
This humidifier doesn’t require a filter if you have the access for fresh tap water. You may use filtered water in case of hard water.
CONS:
Expensive!
My experience using Crane ultrasonic cool mist humidifier:
I am in love with this humidifier which works like a charm sitting in the room silently! My husband, who didn’t believe initially that it could help him with his snoring, was convinced when he got a good night sleep with the humidifier on.
Visible difference is also seen on my skin and hair – which otherwise would have been extremely dry in the cold winter. The heavy breathing noise of my daughter in her sleep also lessened – thanks to the added moisture in the air by the humidifier.
The humidifier is on the higher side when it comes to price, but if you look at the enormous long term benefits when it comes to your child’s health and wellness, it is WORTH EVERY PENNY.
When it comes to electricity consumption of this humidifier, it is less than a bulb of 20 watts, so there’s no question on energy efficiency either 🙂
