Instant Vegetable Rava Paniyaram / Rava Appe Recipe For Toddlers and Kids

Serves: 12 to 15 paniyarams
- Curd - 1 full bowl
- Sooji/Rava - ½ the portion of curd
- Tomato - 1 small
- Onion -1 small
- Cabbage - 4 to 5 tbsp chopped
- Coriander leaves - 3 to 4 tbsp, blanched and chopped
- Green chilli -1 (optional)
- Salt - To taste
- Red chilli powder - a pinch
- Chaat masala - ½ tsp
- Fresh cream/Malai - 1tbsp
- In a bowl, mix curd and rava. Keep this aside for 10-15 minutes
- Finely chop tomato, onion, cabbage, green chilli and blanched coriander
- Add all the vegetable to the rava and curd mixture
- Add salt, red chilli powder and chaat masala
- Add a spoonful of fresh cream
- Mix well. The consistency shouldn’t be too thin or dry. Keep idli batter like consistency.
- In a paniyaram pan, pour 1 to 2 tsp. oil. No need to use oil if using nonstick pan. Let the oil become hot
- Pour a spoonful of mixture into each hole of the paniyaram pan and allow it to cook on medium low flame
- Turn it after a minute
- Let the other side also turn golden
- Again turn it and let the paniyaram turn into golden brown texture from all sides, so that the inside is cooked well
- Once all sides are golden brown the paniyaram is ready.
- Serve with chutney or sauce.
