Gur Ki Roti Recipe for Toddlers and Kids
  • Gur or Jaggery: 2 to 3 small blocks of gur
  • Ghee: ½ to 1 tsp
  • Oil: ½ tsp
  • Whole wheat flour: 1 Cup
  • Water: As needed to knead
  1. Using enough water knead a chapatti dough out of whole wheat flour and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes
  2. Crush or grate the jaggery to small pieces for the stuffing
  3. Now, make thick round roti with the dough.
  4. Apply ghee in the centre of the rolled roti. Put the pieces/slices of jaggery in the center as stuffing. Apply a little water at the edges of the rolled roti and fold it into half. Press and seal the edges with the help of your fingers.
  5. Heat the tawa and cook the stuffed roti on it in medium flame for both the sides.
  6. Once you find the gur pieces inside melting apply oil on both sides and cook till both the sides turn golden.
  7. Serve hot in your child’s favorite cartoon plate.
