Chocolate Semolina Cake

  • Semolina: 1 cup
  • Wheat flour: ½ cup
  • Baking soda: ½ teaspoon
  • Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Yogurt: ½ cup
  • Olive Oil: ½ cup
  • Cocoa powder: ⅓ cup
  • Vanilla extract : ½ teaspoon (optional)
  • Powdered sugar: 1 cup (adjust as per sweetness)
  • Milk: ¼ cup
  • Salt: a pinch
  • Tutti fruity or dry fruits: as needed
  1. In a bowl sieve wheat flour, semolina, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder, salt and keep aside.
  2. In a bowl add oil, yogurt and powdered sugar. Mix well so that there are no lumps.
  3. Add the semolina, wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder cocoa powder into the oil and yogurt mixture and give it a good mix.
  4. Add milk if the batter is too thick or else you can omit it
  5. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the batter for 6 minutes and yummy cake is ready.
  6. To bake the cake in an oven, preheat the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Insert a tooth pick and check if it comes out clean.
  7. Garnish with nuts of your choice.
