Lakshadi Keratailam Ayurvedic Massage Oil for Baby – Review

37

Before my delivery like any other mom, my Amma had started searching for a caretaker / nanny for me and my baby. After months of wide search , phone calls to her friends and relatives Amma found the one she was searching for. We called her ” Pushpa” Aunty and must say we were blessed to have her. Cheerful , energetic and full of life, she used to take care of me , baby and even help Amma in the kitchen. Gradually she became a part of my family. When Anshika was 3 months old , she left us for  the next appointment she had committed. Even today she makes it a point to come home and look at Anshika’s latest photos that we send to Amma. This oil was suggested by her as she vouches on Ayurveda and Ayurvedic products. So this post is the review of Lakshadi Keratailam Ayurvedic Massage Oil for baby

  • Absorbs easily into baby’s skin

  • 200 ml can last long . I have been using it from the past 2 months for Anshika and still there is oil left in the bottle.

 CONS

  • Cant use it on hair as it has turmeric in it
  • Not available in the local stores

MY EXPERIENCE WITH LAKSHADI OIL : I use this oil for Anshika’s pre bath body massage . For hair I use Aloeveda distil virgin coconut oil. I don’t feel any difference it has brought when compared to the virgin coconut oil I use for her.

WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS? Yes if you are looking for a good Ayurvedic massage oil for baby , this is a must buy.

MY RATING : 4 out of 5

  4. Hello Sangeetha,
Is it good for boy babies. As my son is two month oil, after reading your review I’m gonna buy this oil. My doubt is as it contains oil can it be applied in boy baby because turmeric resists beard and moustache growth after he grew up. Pls reply me. Thank u. And I’m a fan of kottakal kumkumadi tailam. Those products were superb.

    • Meena,

A baby’s skin complexion would be genetical either from father or mother’s family. You can use the oil to see a difference in baby’s even toned skin with regular usage. But complexion entirely depends on the genes she inherited.

  7. Hi, I have 5 months old male bay. His skin is not so fair and his Mom is very upset for the same. One my colleague suggest to me that Lakshadhi kerathailam is good for babies skin and the regular use of the thailam cause better result for baby skin fairness. Is it true?? Idon’t know the use of Ayurveda..

How long it will be used for for the fairness of his skin??

Please advice to me the uses and the ways to apply his body.. Any problem causes to apply his face and eyes?

Eager to wait your reply Mam…

    • Hi Ani ,

A baby’s skin color and complexion is highly determined by the genes he has inherited. Please tell this to your mom. I can understand how you feel as a mom on this…Lakshadi keratailam has turmeric in it which is good for clearing out the skin and whitening properties.

You can use it but I don’t know if it guarantees the white complexion. Its a very good massage oil and please don’t apply it on his head or eyes or ears. Its strictly for body massage only. Thanks for commenting 🙂
